Road Notes: Day 307
We returned from the Desert Daze music festival in Joshua Tree, CA yesterday and slept for 100yrs. We spent most of today washing the desert out of our clothes and our bags and our hair. Some with be in our lungs for some time though. We love that area and have been casually keeping an eye out for land there for some time.
We got to meet up with some old friends, including a few we didn't know were going to be there so that was a nice surprise. All the bands were incredible. The vibe was incredibly friendly (even in mosh pits) and relaxed. People watching was top-notch. Iggy Pop was life changing. He's fucking 70.
Anyhow, we leave for Mexico City for Day of the Dead in just over a week and we are not prepared. We haven't even booked an Airbnb yet. I'm trying to schedule a few crash-course private lessons in Spanish for the upcoming week (Lauren's Spanish is okay, mine not so much). Our new drone came in the mail a week ago and I haven't even opened the box yet b/c we've been so occupied. Anyhow, wish us luck. And if you have Mexico City recommendations, please, send them our way.
