Road Notes: Day 308
Finally booked our Airbnb for Mexico City and not a moment too soon. Looking at rental cars now. Found some absolutely gorgeous cabins just outside the city that were stunningly cheap but were a little too remote for our purposes this time around. Will really need to come back with a few friends here soon and enjoy some quiet (or not) time in the country.
Scheduled some private lessons in Spanish for the next several days. Hopefully I can brush up enough as to not make a complete fool of myself when ordering tacos or apologizing profusely for (not) my president. Apparently for some time in Cuba I was saying "¿queso pesos?" instead of "¿cuántos pesos?" This, of course, was before Lauren overheard and then begged me to let her do all the talking. Naturally, I refused.
Anyhow, this time will be totally different, right?
Road Notes are timed entries—written in thirty minutes or less at the end of our day. Considerations are made for spelling/legibility but not for grammar. Deal with it.
